Let’s TACO ’bout It!
Traditionally speaking, National Taco Day in the U.S. had been observed each year on October 4, regardless which day that date landed.
In 2024 due to major encouragement by the national fast food chain, Taco Bell, National Taco Day has been proclaimed to be the first Tuesday in the month of October… regardless the date.
What this now means is we can comfortably, and emphatically I might add, celebrate National Taco Day on a Tuesday, THE most appropriate day of the week to celebrate!
(Although, now that I think upon it… pretty much any day of the week is appropriate, am I right? 😬 )
In celebration of this victory, or perhaps, because they simply can, Taco Bell locations will be offering unique specials to those that are enrolled in their loyalty program on the Taco Bell app. These will be limited to specific times throughout the day, and you’ll want to verify with your Taco Bell app for our local deals.
In addition to the national fast food behemoth, I’m quite certain more than several local restaurants specializing in Mexican fare will be hosting their own commemorative specials. That being said…
We’d love to know where your go-to taco joint is here locally, and let’s face it- we can never have too many go-to taco joints in our mobile maps!
Where will you be embracing National Taco Day this week? Let us know your favorite “local” taco spot, as well as where you’ve had the absolute best ever taco! 🌮❤️ #research
