Chrysler has announced a recall for the following Jeep branded vehicles: 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
The reason for the recall issuance is a risk of vehicle fire when driven or parked. The automaker has advised “owners should park their vehicles outside and away from structures and other vehicles until their vehicle has been remedied.”
It is also advised not to charge affected vehicle’s batteries due to a greater risk of fire with charged batteries, as opposed to depleted ones.
NOTE: this recall pertains even if your vehicle was previously recalled and remedied under the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s recall 24-V720.
